I have a BA degree in Art History from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, living in Chicago now getting my MA in Arts Administration. Here's my Chicago Artist's Profile I spend most of my time painting, making collages, listening to music, reading, writing, and watching movies... Books: House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, anything by Vonnegut or Thompson, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, Harry Potter series, Catch22, 1984, any art history or theory texts, I like reading philosophy if I'm in a patient mood, Shakespeare is amazing... Most of what I've read is fiction and art history although I've tried to expand that recently but there's only so much time... I love all art, but not necessarily all artists...some of my favorites are: Odilon Redon, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Gustav Klimt, Rothko, Kandinsky, Picasso, Calder, Cindy Sherman, Rodin, Brancusi, Matisse, Manet, Monet, Degas, Francis Bacon, Whistler, Cezanne, Turner, Klee, Dali, Toulouse-Lautrec, Dubuffet, Henry Moore, Magritte, Rauschenberg, Basquiat, Miro....yea there's too many...someday I'll come back to this.. I also looove urban/public art, mainly graffiti and graphic arts for clothing and signage... Art is an amazing thing in my life and my goal is to create an urban gallery where I can focus peoples' attention on works that will make them think and respond with action to inspire them a better part of society and with a heightened sense of the human condition... **************************************************************************** here's a few of these things
